What are the qualifications for the fellowship?

1.  Attend one of the eligible programs

2.  Be domiciled in the Stat of Illinois and have lived there for not less than two (2) years.

3.  Have received a B.A., B.S. or equivalent baccalaurate degree

4.  Have at least 12 undergraduate hours in History, Economics, or Political Science

5.  Have an undergraduate GPA of B or better

6.  Must be a U.S. citizen

What supporting documentation is required?

For first year applicants, you need to submit 3 letters of recommendation and Official  transcripts of all your college work.  That includes undergraduate degree as well as graduate level  

For 2nd and 3rd year renewals, 2 academeic or professional references and Official transcripts of all your college work.

What are the deadlines?

All applications, transcripts, and letters of reference need to be to the Chairman of the committee by NOVEMBER 15th.

When are the recipients notified?

Awards are announced on or before April 1st each year.

What is the amount of the award?

The awards can be up to full tuition.  However, the amount of an award varies depending on individual need and tuition costs.
